Realtime chat (messaging) with our end-users from Dashboard
complete
Peter Simic
Most of the time, the reporting function is more than just reporting a bug — it's a channel to support end-users for both technical and non-technical issues.
We want to be able to chat with our users that have sent their feedback to us. We would respond to them directly from our Dashboard, and they would seamlessly and immediately receive our messages directly inside our app. (There would be no need to rely on any external tools or emails!)

Hey everyone, today is the day! 🚀
We've released native iOS and Android SDKs today -
Shake SDK v15.1.0.
To use the Chat feature, please update to the newest version of iOS or Android SDK, turn on the Users product (iOS or Android) and chat away!
You can read more about the
Chat feature
and how to set it up on respective documentation pages:• Android
• iOS
Since these native releases are complete, the focus is on testing React Native and Flutter SDKs with the Chat feature. So those should also be available soon (first React Native, then Flutter).

"Since these native releases are complete, the focus is on testing React Native and Flutter SDKs with the Chat feature. So those should also be available soon (first React Native, then Flutter)." what is meant by this? Is it ready? Should my devs update it or wait until ititz was tested?

Hey Artem! The way our releases generally work - we'll first release the feature on native platforms (iOS and Android) - and after that, we'll work on other platforms (React Native & Flutter) in this case.
So in case you want to update your native iOS or Android applications to the new Shake version - it's tested and good to go.
However,
React Native and Flutter releases are not yet released
- meaning there's nothing for you to update on React Native or Flutter yet. We'll update you here when those are ready!Sanjin Grahovar Sadikovic

We're beyond excited 🎉 to start working on this feature for the
very next release
- SDK v15.1.Prerequisite:
Please update the SDK to the latest version v15.0,
Today, Users don't offer more than a simple list of your app users. But they will turn into the cornerstone of you responding to your users' previous tickets. And way more, of course.
Bye for now, our computers are waiting for us :) See you soon!

Hi Team - is this still on track for November? Apologies if the updates are provided via other means. Really keen to use this with the customers - one critical deciding factor for us on ShakeBugs plus our own design of journey / experience for our users.
Peter Simic
Services no worries, thanks for asking. Yup, and we'll be moving this Realtime chat to "In Progress"
this week
too :)D

Hi! May you have a timeline for this? You mentioned, that you may go for this after crash report release. We would really love to have this feature - even if it is something like an extra cost option. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Peter Simic
David Varga thanks for writing! Great news, we're actually working on it already — however it first includes a ton of precise and useful
preparation work
:- tracking/identifying your individual users
- new screens in the mobile UI for live chat (which then includes a UX redesign while we're at it)
- and only then the live chat itself
So, we aim to launch it in November.
We're a lean team and simply don't have resources to go faster (we'd love to!). The way you and everyone else *
could help Shake
is simple: by recommending
Shake to friends in other teams. We reinvest 100.00% of the revenue back to developers' salaries to go forward more quickly 💪D

Peter Simic: Thanks for the update, waiting for it!

It's been decided: We'll deliver you the in-app chat feature 📱💬 (Right after we release Shake crash reporting which we're now diligently working on.)

This was key for us when using Instabug. We would love to see this feature in Shake. It greatly enhances the value of user reports since most of the time users don't give you all the information needed to understand their issue. Contacting them for more info in-app has an incredibly much higher response rate compared to email.

Yes, I agree! Instabug does this as well and I think it'd be a great function to have in Shake
