Public API

As someone taking on ownership of implementing Shake, I want to be able to use the data that comes out of it to help inform answers to various questions that we have as a team. We then use a data ingest pipeline for the various tools we have and pipe this data to a data warehouse like Google BigQuery. Bi-directional would be nice as well — so we could change the status, assignee, etc of a report. Add-on comment: Maybe a Google Data Studio integration / connector (like [Ahrefs](https://docs.ahrefs.com/data-studio) has).

You asked for a public API, and we delivered! Our REST API is now live as part of the Organization plan, giving you total flexibility to connect Shake to your internal tools and automate your bug-reporting workflows. Go ahead, try it out and let us know what you think: https://docs.shakebugs.com/docs/rest-api/overview/ We’re excited to see what you build with it! 🚀

We are currently working on Shake’s public API, which will be available between January 5 and January 10 on the Organization plan. If your team has any particular requirements for API access, please leave a public comment so others can join the discussion, or email us privately at friends@shakebugs.com. Back to work on it now ;)

In about 6–7 weeks, we’ll be exposing our internal API to all teams on Shake’s Organization plan. This will allow you to integrate Shake more deeply into your workflows, automate actions, and access your data programmatically. Stay tuned, full documentation and use cases are on the way!

From the other perspective as well, I'd like to be able to forward tickets to GitHub myself using a webbook provided by the shake platform instead of an integration.
